It's now December 31, 2010: one day before my year-long photographic adventure begins. I'm already starting to feel the pressure.
And I'm already attempting to deal with that pressure by coming up with a mental list of photographs that I can take, especially on days when nothing new or spectacular springs to mind.
People, pets, places, all forming a list in my brain.
But, perhaps more importantly, angles, effects and approaches are also starting to assemble themselves in my head.
What will be my first photo? I'm no sure.

A Visual Beginning

I still haven't figured out how to set it completely on manual (for shutter-speed and aperture in particular) but that's what this process is all about: learning my camera and maybe even a little more about photography.
My plan is to launch this project on January 1 and try to put up a new photo every day. A little daunting, I think, but it could be fun.
Come by and visit often. Post your comments and tell me what you think. But remember, no matter how bad these photos are, they're mine and I'd appreciate no one stealing them for their own purposes.
